Abby Feinknopf will exhibit a new collection of acrylic paintings at Highline Coffee Art Space in Worthington in September and October. An artist reception is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2-4 PM.
Always enamored with patterns, especially those found in nature, Feinknopf often incorporates them in her work in one way or another. A proponent of recycling and re-purposing, she sometimes includes the interior sides of security envelopes and other ephemera in her art due to the characteristics of their unique patterns. She recycles her paint as well, using the remaining acrylics on her palette to begin new art. As a result, she’s usually working on several pieces at a time, building layers upon layers as foundations for new paintings.
“We’re excited about showing Abby’s beautiful work at the Art Space for the first time,” says Christie Bruffy, owner and manager of Highline Coffee Co. Part of our mission is to support the central Ohio art community by exhibiting the diverse talents of our area artists.”
Located at 691 High Street in Worthington, Ohio, the shop is open Monday-Friday, 7am-5 PM; Saturday, 7 AM -6 PM; and Sunday, 8 AM – 4 PM.
