Writer Member Brenda Layman to Judge 2018 Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp
Brenda Layman will serve as one of five judges who will select the artwork to be featured on the 2018 Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp. Since the first stamp was issued in 1982, thousands of acres of waterfowl habitat have been restored or enhanced. The first duck stamp – two wood ducks – was designed by internationally known Ohio artist John Ruthven. Since then notable winning artists have included Harold Roe and Adam Grimm.
Layman is also a member of the Outdoor Writers of Ohio, and is a frequent contributor to Ohio Valley Outdoors magazine. Her articles on outdoor sports and conservation have appeared in several additional publications.
Judging will take place at the Doubletree Hilton in Columbus on February 17th, during the Ohio Ducks Unlimited Convention.
Wow! Congratulations on this honor, Brenda. It is, I must add, a heavy responsibility and I can’t think of anyone better to handle it.
May we add this to our FB page? I’d need a photo of your choice and this article which I could probably cut and paste.
