The Ohio Artist Registry 2022 Juried Show

Bev Goldie’s encaustic mixed media work, Life is Good, is being exhibited in the Ohio Artist Registry 2022 Juried Show at the Carnegie Gallery, Columbus Metropolitan Main Library, 96 S. Grant Ave. Columbus, OH. This annual exhibition is a joint project of the Ohio Arts Council, Friends of the Library, and Columbus Metropolitan Library. It was juried by Elizabeth Emery, Eddie Woda, and Tia Ramey. Evangelia Philippidis also has a work exhibited.

Dates: 1/27/22 through 3/31/22

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday-Saturday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday: CLOSED

Bev Goldie Awarded Columbus Arts Council Professional Artist Grant

"Snippets of Monet" by Bev GoldieBev Goldie was awarded an Individual Professional Artist Grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council for 2021-22.  The grant is for a series of encaustics entitled, “Derived from the Palettes of the Masters.”  Her first piece, “Snippets of Monet,” will be featured in the upcoming “Language of Creativity” group exhibition in Dublin starting September 21 – October 29.  It is a collaborative show with 23 members of the Central Ohio Branch of NLAPW, all professional artists, writers and musicians.

There is no cost to attend or park, but online appointments are necessary for limited viewing.

Two Encaustics by Darlene Yeager-Torre in Nationally Juried Exhibition

Two encaustic mixed media works, “Wine Country” and “Along the Road Home,” were accepted into the nationally juried encaustic exhibition, “Wax Works” in Kansas City, MO. The exhibition, which called for any works using wax, takes place at the Kansas City Stockyards Gallery from June 18 – July 10th.  They will have a virtual gallery on their website soon.

Cost: No cost

Bev Goldie Showing Work at Wittenberg University

Bev Goldie is showing work in the  “Wax to the Max” Encaustic Exhibition showing at Wittenberg University’s Koch Hall from Oct. 4 – 31. A reception and gallery talk will occur from 3 – 5 PM on Sunday October 13th in Thompson Gallery. All are welcome.

Free parking adjacent to the building (behind the Admissions Office).

Cost: No fee.

Bev Goldie’s Encaustic to Appear in Nationally Juried Show

Bev Goldie has reached an exciting milestone. Her encaustic work, “Rolling Along,” has been accepted into a nationally juried show. As a new International Encaustics Artists member, she entered the national member show entitled, “Survey of Contemporary Encaustic Art” to be held at the Chaffey Community Museum of Art just outside of L.A. The show will be from January17 – March 10.

She has shipped her piece to the show, where it will be photographed and included in a professionally produced catalog.

Coffee and Conversation with Artist Bev Goldie

Bev Goldie will be presenting a Conversations and Coffee at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center on Thursday, January 10th at noon – 1 p.m. She will show images of her trip to Santa Fe, the Museum of Encaustic Art, and a Biennial convention there for which she was awarded a GCAC Professional Development Grant.

Cost: Free

The Cultural Arts Center is in downtown Columbus at 139 W. Main Street. Bev will go to lunch at Milestone 229 afterwards, and those interested in continuing the discussion are welcome to join her there.
